The pre-school is situated in the
centre of the village. It is about half a mile from the
primar

y school. Its central
location makes it easy to publicise its existence and for many
parents/carers to walk to. The building is Victorian and used
to be the boys school in the village. It is owned by the same
educational trust that owns the primary school.
The pre-school is registered with
Ofsted and currently has 26 children on the register and daily
places for 20 children. It is open during the school term from 9am
to 11.30am Monday to Thursday with Lunch Club running from 11.30am
to 1pm.

A parent-based committee runs the pre-school and consists of:
Chairman: Fiona Ayers
Treasurer: Kaye Atkinson
Secretary: Kerry Wilson-Pearce
Plus general committee members and
fundraisers.
The Chairman can be contacted if you
have questions regarding Pre-school. Please speak to either the
Chairman or Treasurer regarding fee queries. Sessions not covered
by the government grant scheme are currently £6.25. The lunch club
costs £3.00.
Six members of staff are employed,
with four working at each session. This ensures a minimum adult to
child ratio of 1:5.
