LEVINGTON
GARDENING
CLUB
The Club was formed in late 2005 as an offshoot (pardon the
pun!) of the Flower Show Committee. Levington’s Annual Flower &
Produce Show is a well supported event and a Gardening Club seemed
a natural extension of this popular occasion. It was set up at a
time when the Village Hall was seeking lottery funding and needed
additional bookings to show how much the Hall was needed by the
community. The lottery application was successful and we now have a
superb Hall in which to hold village events and our little
Gardening Club has now grown strong roots and is well
supported.
The Club meets at least every other month for talks,
demonstrations or outings. See below for our interesting &
varied 2008 programme. Membership stands at almost 30.
Meetings are open to all; however members, who have paid the £5
annual subscription, may pay a reduced entry fee (currently £2),
with non-members paying £3.00 per meeting.
There is normally no need to book – just come along on the
evening.
