Welcome to Mildenhall Parish Council
website |
The town of Mildenhall stands on the River Lark, on the edge of the
Fens. Situated just off the A11, Mildenhall is about 10 miles north
east of Newmarket and may be better known for the nearby USAF Air
base, formerly a wartime bomber base for the RAF.
Visitors will be delighted to discover the 15th century St. Mary's
Church and the timber Market Cross. At the museum you will find a
replica of the 'Mildenhall Treasure' which was found in about 1942
near West Row.
The Parish Council has 15 members representing the three wards of
Great Heath, Market and West Row
