Dear Friends
The MLSG team heroically braved the freezing temperatures to witness the official opening of the newly restructured North Wall on Friday 3 February. The footpath linking the RSPB Visitor Centre to the beach has been reinforced and raised to keep out the seawater should the shoreline breach at its narrowest point by Dunwich Cliffs - the E.A. having decided that it's not viable to spend money reinforcing this particular part of the shoreline.
We look forward to work starting on the sluice itself in the autumn. The E.A. will be making repairs to the gates so that they will actually work for a change. i.e. they will let water out at low tide, and not let the seawater gush through at high tide.
Please have a read of our current newsletter and let me know if you have any queries or opinions you would like to share.

Kind regards
John
