Chairing Skills
All the skills you need to successfully chair parish or town council meetings.
The chairman plays a vital and important role in the council and as a community leader.

A useful course for both new and experienced chairmen and vice-chairmen.

An opportunity for skills improvement which should enable your council to make
clear decisions and policies. Delegates will enjoy the informal atmosphere to take
a fresh look at how their council could be more effective and efficient in serving
the community, whilst learning from the experiences of others.

The course comprises of six modules

2. Chairing Styles
3. The public and the media
4. Conduct and other challenging issues
5. Chairing a challenging meeting
6. Leadership, partnership and community engagement

Tuesday     16th October  (module 2)  7 - 9pm
Wednesday 24th October  (module 3)  7 - 9pm
Wednesday 31st October  (module 4)  7 - 9pm
Wednesday  7th November(module 5)  7 - 9pm
Tuesday     13th November(module 6)  7 - 9pm

£25 per module (includes lunch for daytime courses)
