The War Memorial is situated in the Garden of
Remembrance on Market Hill and contains a marble and stone
inscribed memorial and a stone carving of Queen
Victoria.
The pleasant green backdrop of shrubs helps enclose the gardens
where there are two benches to sit and rest upon.
In 1998 a group of volunteer researches formed the Woodbridge War
Memorial project to find out all they could about the men whose
names appear on the War Memorial. The work was recorded in a
file and presented to the Town on St George's Day in 1999 where it
may be consulted in the Shire Hall during office
hours.
