Apologies and Declarations of Interest

 

Apologies were received from Mr K Beaumont, Mr P Carr and Dr C Rowe.  Mr Carr had also declared an interest in item 2, Planning.

Planning

 

Application

C09/0811:   The Old Stores, The Street – Conversion of The Old Stores to two dwellings

 

It was RESOLVED:

 

·                      to support the application as it would contribute to providing a supply of small houses in the village

 

LDF

The Chairman reported on a meeting of the SCDC LDF Task Group which she had attended.  There was now a proposal to increase the number of houses to be built at Martlesham from 1,050 to 2,000.  It was RESOLVED:

 

·                     that details of the proposals would be circulated to Councillors and be fully considered at the Parish Council meeting on 6 July

Correspondence

 

It was noted that Mike Wood, SCC School Travel Plan Adviser, had agreed to chair a meeting to discuss Bealings school parking.  The Head Teacher of Bealings School had confirmed that he could attend a meeting at 1pm on 6 July in the Angela Cobbold Memorial Hall.  Other parties which had confirmed attendance were the PCC, SCC (the Project Engineer - Rural Pavements and a Rights of Way Officer) and the VHMC.  Replies were awaited from the SCC County Councillor and SCDC District Councillor, the SNT, Grove Farm Residents’ Association and the Admiral’s Head.  The Secretary of the Parish Plan JPPSG hoped to attend to present the data on the matter contained in the Parish Plan.

 

It was noted that Playford Parish Council had also expressed a wish to attend so that the possibility of a cycle route to Playford could be considered at the meeting.  It was RESOLVED that:

 

·                 It was critical that interested parties were evenly represented at the meeting

 

·                 Playford and Gt Bealings Parish Councils were welcome to send a representative to the meeting

 

·                 An invitation would be sent to the Chairman of the School Governors and would include an invite for a representative of the parents of children at the school to attend

 

·                  

 

 

  There being no further business to discuss the meeting closed at 8.15pm.
