Apologies and Declarations of Interest

 

Apologies were received from Mr K Beaumont and Mrs M Wilson.  There were no declarations of interest.

 Planning

C08/0933:   2 Richards Drive  - Erection of one and a half storey extension including external and internal alterations to existing bungalows

 

It was RESOLVED:

 

·                      that there was no objection to the development

 

Development of Grove Farm, The Street

It was noted that, although the owner of the site had planning permission for the construction of B1 industrial and commercial units, he was mindful of the Council’s preference for a housing development for the site and had asked for guidance on what type of development would be supported.

 

It was RESOLVED:

 

·                     to advise the developer that, until the parish plan survey was complete, the Council was unable to advise further on the type of development.  However, should he wish the Council to consider any specific proposals it would be happy to give a view upon receipt of plans.

 

Planning Enforcement Policy

 

SCDC had consulted on a new planning enforcement policy.  It was RESOLVED:

 

·                     that Mrs Shaw would prepare a response to the consultation and circulate it to Councillors for comment

Correspondence

 

It was RESOLVED:

 

 

 

 

·                    that the Chairman and Mrs Wilson would attend the next meeting of the Ipswich Fringe Group of parishes, to be held on 15 July

 

·                    that the Chairman and Mrs Wilson would attend the SCDC Parish Liaison meeting to be held on 8 July, at which there would be further discussion of local government re-organisation

 

·                    that a reply to a consultation on priorities for the Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership would be considered upon publication of its draft Sustainable Community Strategy after July 2008

 

·                    that, as Suffolk ACRE had sent an A4 card ‘Certificate of Membership for 2008/09’, it should be advised that the Council did not consider this a good use of membership fees

 

It was noted that:

 

·                     SCC had confirmed that £100 would be contributed from Councillor Bellfield’s Locality Budget to the costs of producing the Walks Leaflet

 

·                     the parishioner who had initially suggested the Walks Leaflet had written to thank and congratulate the Council on the production of the leaflet.

 

·                     The John Belstead Playing Field Project had written and thanked the Council for its funding donation of £250
