Film Locations Wanted

Suffolk Coastal has teamed up with ScreenEast, who are the agency responsible for promoting, developing and supporting the film and media industries in the East of England. They want to hear from people who own a building or land worthy of appearing on the big screen to help encourage more location filming to take place in the district.

Large buildings, period properties, modern properties and vacant and derelict industrial buildings are all in demand for use in films, adverts and television. If anyone in your parish owns something they think might be suitable, they can contact ScreenEast for more information by visiting www.screeneast.co.uk or phoning 01923 495051. They are also compiling a list of businesses in the service industry that could be useful to production teams, such as florists, caterers and drycleaners.

Support Martyn Williams

Martyn Williams, the 17 year old son of the Home Farm Manager, Andrew, is with the Royal Marines in Afganistan.

He is at Camp Bastian where he reports that it is unbelievably hot.  He will spend a few days there acclimatising and then off to the Forward Operating Base, Sangin, in Helmand Province.  We all wish him the very best of luck and are thinking of him and his family back here in Nacton.
