Families looking for fun-filled activities to enjoy during
half-term can journey to Middle Earth and take part in Ring Quest,
an exciting challenge event for fans of Lord of the Rings at
West Stow Country Park and Anglo-Saxon Village and Moyse’s Hall
Museum in Bury St Edmunds between Saturday 13 and Sunday 21
February.
The Quest sees families following clues hidden throughout Middle
Earth, collecting runes along the way, in order to solve the final
puzzle and save the realms of the elves, dwarves and men! Those who
successfully finish the Ring Quest will be entered into a draw for
a chance to win a Lord of the Rings prize.
You don’t need to be a Lord of the Rings expert to take
part. The Quest will feature all-new clues and prizes so a fresh
adventure awaits those who’ve taken part in previous years, as well
as newcomers.
Visitors will also have the chance to learn the ways of the
Rangers by trying their hand at archery for a small additional
charge. Watch out for ‘Stowbag’, West Stow’s very own Orc who will
be visiting from Mordor!
The Quest continues at Moyse’s Hall Museum in Bury St Edmunds
where families with a flair for puzzle solving can seek out the
hidden rings and enjoy other exciting riddles and activities.
The Ring Quest event will run between 10am and 5pm every day
from Saturday 13 to Sunday 21 February. Up to five people can take
part at a cost of £7.50 (max 2 adults), including free admission to
Moyse’s Hall. Under fives are free. There is no need to book. Last
admission for the Quest will be at 3pm.
