Abbey Transport Ltd have notified their intention to move another large boat from Oundle to The Haven Marina in Ipswich on Tuesday 20th July, 2010.

The Load which measures 5.23 m wide, 5.90 m high, 24.86 m in length and weighing 59000 kgms is expected to leave the Cambridgeshire border at around 8am under the escort of Suffolk police and will be taking a slightly different route from normal, which is as follows:

1. A1303 towards Newmarket to the roundabout and take the 2nd exit onto the A1304.

2. Proceed into Newmarket, straight through High St to the Clock Tower Roundabout and turn right onto the B1506 through Kentford and pass under A14 to join A14 to proceed towards Bury St Edmunds.

3. To pass under Railway Bridge at Bury, the load must keep as far over to offside for maximum clearance, then continue A14 to Stowmarket.

4. Turn left onto A1308 through Stowmarket and continue B1113 through Needham Market to Gt Blakenham.

5. Turn right, still B1113 and contraflow to end of duel carriageway. Continue B1113 through Sproughton to junction with A1071 and turn left towards Holiday Inn.

6. At A1214 turn left towards Ipswich. At A137 turn right and proceed into one way system to Bridge St and enter Haven Marina.

( This route has to be taken owing to bridge heights on the A14 road. )
