Welcome to Ipswich Nightsafe website

BuildlingBannerIpswich is a thriving town with a vibrant nightlife

  • On a typical weekend evening, it is estimated there are over 10,000 people enjoying the wide range of leisure activities in the town centre including pubs, clubs, cinemas, restaurants, theatres and sports facilities.

  • Ipswich crime rates are some of the lowest in the country.

  • Suffolk remains one of the safest places to live, however, alcohol-related violence and disorder continues to cause concern.

Ipswich Police has a dedicated town centre unit, which is committed to tackling these problems and has already achieved one of the highest detection rates in the country as part of the Suffolk First initiative to prevent and solve more crime, supported by high-profile policing.

Information on this page is designed to help you enjoy the Ipswich Night Time economy and to have fun and stay safe.

Friends Stick together StickerOne of our principal Nightsafe messages is 'Friends Stick Together'. So when you and your friends go home for the evening, stick together and make sure you all 'Get Home Safe'.
