Lowestoft Nightsafe was
launched in 2005 and now has 32 members. As Lowestoft is
a large town the Nightsafe scheme is also unique in that it
incorporates a large number of partner agencies and Officers,
including taxi companies, the Lowestoft CCTV unit, an Antisocial
Behaviour Officer, a Substance Misuse Officer and a Crime Reduction
Officer. The partnership is very active with a banning committee
who operate a 'Banned from One, Banned from All' policy. In
addition, the group display sensible drinking campaign material
such as posters, beer mats, leaflets and calling cards.
