The Portman Group Cinema Advert
A survey from the Drinkaware Trust, the educational arm of The Portman Group, shows the negative effects of drinking too much on men aged between 18 and 30 and how a small minority of these men are still behaving violently after binge drinking.
The survey, “Out of Order”, was carried out amongst a sample of 1,000 18-30 year old men throughout the United Kingdom from a range of backgrounds. Respondents ranged from those who never drank and occasional light drinkers to regular moderate and heavy drinkers.
Some of the findings included that after drinking a lot of alcohol, a third (32%) felt more aggressive, 12% said they had been involved in a fight after drinking a lot and most (84%) said they had been in an argument with their friends or girlfriend after drinking a lot.
In order to raise awareness amongst men of excessive drinking and its associated consequences the Portman Group launched their cinema. This was shown in all cinema screenings of 'Mission Impossible III' in 2006. In case you did't catch it at the time click here to view it.
