Waveney A.C was formed in the 1960's,Mac Collett being one of the founder members. The object of the club was to promote match fishing, over the years we have participated in The Suffolk and Norfolk Winter League and on five occassions over a period of ten years have won The Suffolk and Norfolk Winter League which enabled us to fish in five national semi-finals on rivers including the river Weaver, Great Ouse, river Witham and the river Trent. With the help of the late Frank Barlow on the river Trent we came second while fishing against the top 17 teams in the UK, only beaten by Nottingham A.C. who were on their home water, enabling us to fish in the grand final which was held in Denmark.
Waveney members have also fished national championships over a period of 25 years, fishing for Suffolk County,Harleston & Wortwell. Waveney then decided to enter their own team in the national championship, starting in division five and within five years gained promotion to the first division. Waveney members have won numerous open matches all over the region and the UK .
 Over the last 20years Nick Larkin (a team member at the time) sponsored the team through his business, Nisa Feeders,at that point we became Nisa Waveney.
Nick Larkin is a superb and very experienced river angler and is also one of east anglia's top feeder anglers using his knowledge to develop his business.

Nisa Waveney Juniors formed in February 2009 with the ambition to carry on the success's of the senior team and to offer support and coaching opportunities in angling to young people between the ages of eight and eighteen inclusive, with or without disabilities regardless of race, gender or ability.

 Active members of Nisa Waveney are Mac Collett (President), Keith Gostling,
 Bernie Turner, Mick Burch, International angler Darren (Bob)Wessells, Nick Larkin,
Richard Watson,Ian Wood, and Ray Darnell all give their time freely to help the juniors.
