Ingredients
- 1 rabbit cut into pieces
- 1 small cabbage
- 1lb of small sausages
- 4 rashers of bacon
- 1 small onion
- ¼ pt stock
- ½ pt dry cider
- Herbs
- Seasoning
Method
- Slice the cabbage and boil for five minutes in a little water,
drain well.
- Peel and slice the onion and fry with the sausages until the
sausages are brown.
- In a large casserole dish put the drained cabbage, rabbit,
sausage, onions and uncooked bacon.
- Cover with the stock and cider.
- Add the mixed herbs and seasoning.
- Cover well and simmer for around 2½ hours in a very slow
oven.
