What we do

The Parish Council has the intention of maintaining and improving the quality of the village and of the lives of those residents within it.

Areas of interest include the burial ground, crime prevention, lighting, litter, open spaces, planning, playing fields, rights of way, roadside verges, seats, shelters, signs, traffic calming, etc.

Planning Applications

The Parish Council reviews all planning applications affecting the parish. We then pass our opinions to St Edmundsbury Borough Council which they may take into account when they make their decision to permit, deny or permit with conditions.

You can view all current and past applications by searching the St Edmundsbury Borough Council's online planning page.

Burial Ground

Arrangements for burials and the erection of memorials in the parish burial ground can be made through the Vicar of St Mary’s Church and the Parish Council.
