Friends of Belstead Brook Park
(FoBBP)
The Friends of Belstead Brook Park is a group of local people who
enjoy, and have an interest in the park: including Bobbits Lane,
Spring Wood. Grove Hill and the surrounding areas.
So far, they have won funding of £4,000 for improvements in
Stoke Park Wood and £25,000 to build bridges, improve footpaths and
replace old information boards in the Park, and have carried out
many practical tasks around the park ourselves, from litter picking
to hedge planting.
Enjoy walking or cycling in the area
Have an interest in local wildlife
Walk your dog in the park
... then why not think about joining them?
FoBBP organises a practical conservation workparty on a Saturday
morning once every two months, where they carry out work such
as tree planting, coppicing in Spring Wood and Millennium Wood,
building bridges and erecting rustic benches.
Members also have an opportunity to influence the future of the
park, from planning proposals to sign posts or fly-tipping; have
your say!
