The East Babergh Team located at the Capel St Mary Station consists of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Special Constables, Council Staff, Community Partners and Volunteers all working closely with community and partnership agencies to deal with local community problems. PC Gary Austin is the Safer Neighbourhood Team Officer for Pinewood and together with PCSO Stephen Cooper and PCSO Denise Ford are regularly in and around the Parish.

PC Austin holds regular police surgeries at the Pinewood Community Hall where residents can raise any concerns they may have on matters which effect their quality of life, whether its anti-social behaviour, graffiti, noisy neighbours or crime.  PC Austin and his team are there to try and solve these problems creating a neigbourhood that is safe.
