During April and May 2008 Babergh District Council is sponsoring a
Festival of Foreign Language Films to be
screened in villages that are part of the Suffolk Digital Cinema
Network.
Polstead is one of
these villages - having shown over 40
films since 2004.
As part of the festival the films at Polstead Village Hall will be
Volver (cert.
15) on Friday 18 April at 7-30pm and
Etre et Avoir
(cert. U) on Saturday 19 April at 12noon.
Tickets will be £3-00 for Volver and only £1-00 for Etre et Avoir.
After Etre et Avoir there will be a soup and French bread lunch -
the inclusive ticket will be £3-00.
Tickets will be available in the usual way from the Community
Shop or by ringing 01787 210029 and also from the
Quay Theatre.
There is a Wider Picture Project
brochure giving full details of all the
venues and films, some of which will be for children.
