Polstead Village Hall is a registered charity and is run for the local community by the Polstead Village Hall Management Committee. All main user-groups have a representative on the committee and the AGM is held in March.
The Hall is home to the Playgroup, Carpet Bowls, Polstead Art Group, Polstead Crafters, and the WI. There are also regular Parish Council and Gardening Club meetings, Latin American and Ballroom dancing, fund-raising events and private bookings.
The Hall provides excellent facilities. The main hall has a sprung wooden floor, there is a well-equipped kitchen, oil-fired heating, fully accessible toilets and baby-changing facility, stage lighting and a good quality PA system and hearing loop. There are 80 upholstered chairs and maximum seating for an event is 125.
Bookings for an event should be made through the booking secretary. It is also possible for residents to hire tables, chairs (only the plastic chairs), plates, cutlery and wine glasses.
