The Racial Harassment Forum (formerly known as
the Mutli-Agency Forum Against Racial Harassment) was established
with the overall aim:
"To develop and implement a multi-agency approach to tackle racial
harassment in Suffolk"
Its objectives are:-

To challenge racism amongst young people and
the wider community, promoting inclusive and cohesive commmunities
that value diversity.

To encourage victims of racial harassment and
violence to report incidents.

To provide advice, support and advocacy to all
victims reporting incidents of racial harassment and
violence.

To coordinate action against perpetrators
through partnership working.

To monitor and record all incidents of racial
harassment and the roles and work of groups and agencies across the
country , ensuring that quarterly fact sheets are available on
line.

To measure performance against satisfaction
levels of service users. Identifying, implementing and
publicising good practice across the county.

To undertake a full Equality Impact
Assessment on policies which cover racial harassment work within
the county and to consider a broader hate crime
remit.
