The purpose of the Charity is to make funds available for the “poor and needy” of the parish of Rattlesden. Income for the Charity comes from three small parcels of land let each year.

The Charity is currently administered by five trustees who work on a voluntary basis. These trustees are charged with the responsibility of maximising the income from the assets of the Charity and ensuring the distribution of the monies so raised is done in accordance with the wishes of the benefactor(s).

Anyone in real need is invited to apply for funds. Application can also be made by someone on behalf of an individual (subject to their agreement). All requests are treated with absolute confidentiality. Examples of potential beneficiaries are listed in a Charity Commission document, copies of which can be obtained from the secretary.
