VILLAGE HALL
Available for hire. Extensively used by local organisations and
others, and the home of the very successful Rickinghall Farmers’
Market on the second Saturday of every month.
The main hall has a capacity for up to 195 people seated
theatre style, 145 for dances or parties where tables are in use or
235 where they are not. There is in addition a permanent and
elevated stage.
A separate small room for up to 50 persons can be hired
either along with the main hall or separately.
Kitchen facilities are provided, and a bar can be
arranged.
Private parking for up to 36 cars.
Rates – there is a written tariff of charges agreed by
the Management Committee and reviewed annually.

MULTI-USE GAMES AREA
Also available for hire. This facility was completely resurfaced
with porous macadam during 2007, with financial assistance from
Mid-Suffolk District Council and from Rickinghall Parish Council.
It is hired for regular use by a number of five-a-side
football teams, hosts league netball every week
during the season, and can also be hired for
tennis during summer months. Floodlighting
is available at extra cost.

CHILDREN’S PLAY AREA
Re-opened in summer 2009 after major renewal, this fenced area
now has play equipment to appeal to youngsters of all ages, and
modern safety surfaces throughout. Equipment includes fixed and
rotating climbers, full-size and toddler swings, slides, a see-saw
and springies, and there is open public access at all times.
Funding for the new facility came from Mid Suffolk District
Council, Rickinghall Parish Council and our County Councillor's
Locality Budget, as well as from many local residents,
organisations and businesses - a real community effort.
SKATE PARK
Completed in 2005, this separately fenced facility for our local
skateboarders also has open public access.
PLAYING FIELD
Open to the public for all reasonable and legal recreational
purposes, except that dogs are not permitted for obvious
reasons of health and hygiene, and golf practice is not
permitted for safety reasons.
A soccer pitch is marked out, and a practice goal is also
provided.
Changing rooms with shower facilities are available for both
home and away teams where appropriate.
Toilet facilities with access at all times are also normally
available.
MANAGEMENT
Running of Rickinghall Village Hall and its facilities is the
responsibility of the Village Hall Management Committee. This
consists of the village hall trustees and representatives from a
number of village organisations using the hall, and normally meets
six times a year.
