Stanton Woodland & Wildlife Action Group was formed in 2006, an amalgamation of two established groups (Stanton Wildlife Action Group and Stanton Community Woodland Project). Our aim is to encourage awareness and enjoyment of nature in and around the village, and to establish a Community Woodland in Stanton. Every year we arrange walks, talks, fund raising events, organise wildlife surveys and produce two newsletters.

We completed the purchase of nearly three acres of land for our Community Woodland 'Sid's Piece' at the end of 2007. We have just finished the third year of tree and hedge-planting.
