Our Projects

A Community Woodland in Stanton: With the help of grants we were to buy a suitable piece of land, known as SID'S PIECE, off Upthorpe Road. Our official Opening Day was on 20th January 2008.  We have been planting seeds and trees with the local schoolchildren, plus coppice trees and hedging with volunteers from the village.  Please contact Linda Grixti on 01359 250622 if you would like to get involved.

The Chase:  An area of land adjacent to The Chase had been left neglected after development.  SWWAG was approached in 2005 with a view to managing the site and a public meeting was held for people living nearby to discuss ideas for the project.  Over 160 hedgerow plants and trees were planted by volunteers and local schoolchildren. Already the diversity of wild plant species has increased.
