Safe and Sound is currently working on a number of projects to
raise awareness of
Bogus Callers, Rogue Traders and Scams. The Group have
recently organised the performances of Trickster and Scambusters
plays which attracted audiences across the county during May. These
musical plays are performed by The Solomon Theatre Company, a group
of professional actors and the events were attended by
representatives from the Police, Trading Standards, the Pension
Service and Age Concern to answer queries after the shows.
Trickster -
This musical is punctuated with songs to
familiar tunes and tells the story of how a proud war veteran
became the victim of Distraction Burglary. This energetic live
story-telling event blends information, entertainment and humour.
Trickster achieves its goal of raising awareness and building
confidence without raising the fear of crime and is organised in
partnership with Police Forces, Trading Standards and Age
Concern.
Scambusters -
Based on true stories, meet Sydney

the victim of a rogue
Tarmac Tradesman and Mary who thinks she’s won the holiday of
a lifetime ….. A cast of three professional actors present an
energetic live story-telling event with music from the 60’s.
Guaranteed to entertain and amuse, the key safety messages
come through loud and clear. This show is developed through
co-operation with Trading Standards, Police Forces and
Community Safety Officers.
