Welcome to the Mid Suffolk South Safer
Neighbourhood Team website.
In Suffolk, Safer Neighbourhood Teams are made
up of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Specials
and Police Support Volunteers.
We work alongside staff from other
organisations, including district and borough councils to provide
an even better service to local people across the county.
Our team has a remit to solve problems
identified by local people from your area – which could range from
crime and anti-social behaviour to noise and litter.
Remember, we are here to help you, so please get
in touch with us if you need our assistance. Our team covers the
wards of Barking, Somersham, Claydon, Barham, Ringshall, Bramford,
Blakenham and Needham Market, Thurston, Hessett, Haughley,
Wetherden, Rattlesden, Onehouse, Woolpit, Elmswell and Norton.
Our Team

The next neighbourhood Tasking Meeting.
We hold regular tasking meetings, which are
attended by the police, county, district and parish councillors, as
well as our partners from health and educational organisations.
The aim is to:
-
Discuss issues put forward by the local
community.
-
Select the top three priorities to be
addressed and how we are going to tackle them.
-
Arrange feedback to local people about
progress.
These meetings are open to the public
and start at 6.30 pm where you are
invited to attend and speak to a Police Officer/PCSO to raise
any issues that you feel should be considered as a priority for the
tasking process that will start at 7.30 pm and will finish by
8.30pm. The names & addresses of all those that attend will be
taken so we can feed back to you the outcome of your visit should
you wish to leave prior to the meeting BUT the
most important part is that you can, if you wish, stay and
watch the tasking process.
The next meeting is Thursday 18th March 2010 in The
Lecture Theatre of the MSDC Offices, 131 High Street,
Needham Market, IP6 8DL.
