Ipswich North West Homepage

Welcome to the Ipswich North West Safer Neighbourhood Team website.

In Suffolk, Safer Neighbourhood Teams are made up of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Specials and Police Support Volunteers.

We work alongside staff from other organisations, including district and borough councils to provide an even better service to local people across the county.

Our team has a remit to solve problems identified by local people from your area - which could range from crime and anti-social behaviour to noise and litter.

Remember, we are here to help you, so please get in touch with us if you need our assistance.  The Ipswich North West team covers the Whitehouse, Whitton & Castle Hill wards.

The next Community Priority Setting meeting

We hold regular area forum meetings which are attended by the police, county, district and parish councillors, as well as many of our partners.  These are also open to the public to attend and raise any issues they may have about the area to the relevant agency.

The aim is to:

  • Discuss issues put forward by the local community
  • Discuss the top three priorities chosen by members of the public an decide how these should be addressed and how we are goint to tackle them
  • Arrange feedback to local people about progress

The next North West Area Forum will be held on Thursday 23rd September 1900 to 2100 at Whitton Baptist Church on Highfield Road

If you can't make these meetings and would like to get in touch about something which concerns you - please contact us
