Welcome to the Woodbridge and District Safer Neighbourhood Team website.  In Suffolk, Safer Neighbourhood Teams are made up of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Specials and Police Support Volunteers.

We work alongside staff from other organisations, including district and borough councils to provide an even better service to local people across the county.

Our team has a remit to solve problems identified by local people from your area – which could range from crime and anti-social behaviour to noise and litter. Remember, we are here to help you, so please get in touch with us if you need our assistance.

The Woodbridge and District team covers the wards of  Sutton, Hollesley, Eyke, Orford, Tunstall, Otley, Wickham Market,  Rendlesham, Melton, Ufford, Riverside, Kyson, Seckford and Farlingaye.

Our Team Priorities

1. To reduce instances of illegal motorcycling in Rendlesham Forest IP12 3NF.  This priority was set on 11th March 2010 - link to more details

2. To reduce instances of Anti-Social Behaviour and volume crime in the vicinity of Rochford House New Street Woodbridge IP12 1DY.  This priority was set on 7th January 2010 and was reviewed and extended as our priority at the community panel meeting on 11th March  2010 - link to more details

3. To reduce instances of speeding in and around Acer Road Rendlesham IP12 2GA . This priority was set on 11th March 2010 - link to more details

Policing Pledge

The above priorities reflect local concerns and are in keeping with the Policing Pledge. It gives all forces the same set of guidelines which help ensure that local people receive a quality policing service, wherever they live. The next neighbourhood policing meeting

We hold regular tasking meetings, which are attended by the police, county, district and parish councillors, as well as our partners from health and educational organisations.

The aim is to:

• Discuss issues put forward by the local community.
• Select the top three priorities to be addressed and how we are going to tackle them.
• Arrange feedback to local people about progress.

Prior to this meeting we hold a Community Panel Meeting to discuss the issues to be put forward to the tasking meeting.  For more details regarding this please click on the following link - Community Panel meeting.  These meetings are open to the public, so if you would like to come along and raise any issues with us, the next one for your areas is on Wednesday 14th April 2010 at The Shire Hall Woodbridge IP12 4LP.  It starts at 7:00 pm with an approximate finish time of 8:00pm.        .

This will be followed by the tasking meeting, which will be held on 21st April 2010.  This meeting is not open to the public.
