Task completed 11/03/2010 - To liaise with and work in partnership with Suffolk Heritage Housing Association to find a solution to ongoing neighbourly issues in Little Horsey Park Campsea Ashe
Objective
The police have rescieved a number of complaints relating to neighbourly issues in Little Horsey Park Campsea Ashe and will work in partnership to discuss a long term solution. A time limit of one month has been set for this priority.

Update

* Police with respond swiftly to reports relating to neighbourly issues in Little Horsey Park
* Police will liaise withSuffolk Heritage Housing Association and willl follow up on any incidents relating to this priority.
* A meeting will be arranged between all parties to consider mediation in an effort to resolve ongoing issues.


Outcome
*
Residents have been spoken to by both police and Suffolk Heritage Housing Association.
* Mediation has been offered to those concerned as a means to address issues.
* ASB recording sheets have been issued to all parties in order to record instances of ASB.

Task completed 11/03/2010 - To reduce the number of instanmces of low level ASB in Bredfield Road Woodbridge.
Objective
Residents have asked if the police can target a small minority of young people who are behaving in and Anti-Social manner and causing low-level damage in the area of Bredfield Road Woodbrige. A time limit of one month has been set for this priority.

Update
* Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers will  provide reassurance patrols, on foot and in vehicles, in the area of Bredfield Road During during the Evenings and after school times.
* Groups of young people congregating in the area and / or acting in an Anti-Social manner will be encountered and any offences will be dealt with in a robust manner.

Outcome
* Officers have conducted regular patrols in the area at the relevant times both in vehicles and on foot.
* Young people have been engaged with and advice given.
* Residents have been surveyed and consulted.


Task completed 11/02/2010 - To reduce the number of dog attacks in Friday Street Rendlesham
Objective
The police and district council have received numerous complaints of loose dogs attacking both people and dogs in the area of Friday Street, Rendlesham causing injury.

Update

* Police with deal robustly with any reports of persons being bitten / attacked by dogs in the area of Friday street.

* SCDC dog wardens will follow up on any incidents relating to this priority.


Outcome
* One of the worst and most vicious dogs was siezed prior to Christmas.
* A file has been submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service in relation to ongoing investigations.
* Regular patrols have been conducted in the area of Friday Street to reassure residents.
* Liasion has taken place between various agencies in order to find a long term solution to this issue.

Task completed 11/02/2010 - To reduce the number of drivers violating road traffic legislation on the Sutton Heath Estate
Objective
Residents have asked if the police can target drivers who drive in excess of the speed limit and do not wear seatbelts on Sutton Heath Estate.

Update
* Police officers havel targeted speeding drivers, those using a mobile phone whilst driving and those who do not wear seatbelts with fixed penalty tickets being issued.
* Road Safety talks have been given to pupils at The Sandlings Primary School.

Outcome
* Speed checks have been conducted with one driver receiving a verbal caution for driving in excess of the speed limit.
* A meeting has been arranged with the Headteacher at Sandlings Primary School to discuss involvement of pupils in relation to road safety in the area.
* Road safety posters have been delivered to a number of establishments for display.
* Further road safety initiatives have been arranged in conjunction with MOD police.

Task completed 07/01/2010 - To Reduce Illegal Parking In Woodbridge Town Centre
Objective
To reduce illegal parking in Woodbridge Town Centre namely on Thoroughfare IP12 1AH, Cumberland Street IP12 4AD, New Street IP12 1DX and Market Hill IP12 4LU.

Update

* Officers and PCSO's will be targeting the above areas and will survey people who live, work, visit Woodbridge Town Centre to assess their views.

* The parking regulations will be robustly enforced through the issuing of £30.00 Fixed Penalty Notices.


Outcome
* Officers have issued in excess of 20 Fixed Penalty Notices for parking offences in the town centre
* A bollard is being placed at the entrance of the Thoroughfare daily during the restricted hours providing a visible reminder to motorists.
* A survey is being conducted to guage peoples opinions in relation to the restrictions.
* A survey of the lines / signs in the town centre has been conducted by the SNT and a representative from SCC Highways.



Task completed 07/01/2010 - Improve Road Safety The Street Eyke To Enhance Quality Of Life For Residents
Objective
Residents have asked if the police and highways dept can reduce the number of instances of speeding drivers through Eyke, through both enforcement and making changes / improvements to the physical layout of the road.

Update
* Police officers will target speeding drivers and enforce the 30mph zone with fixed penalty tickets being issued.
* Highways Dept will consult with the community and consider physical changes to the road layout.

Outcome
* Numerous speed checks have been conducted in Eyke. 1 Fixed Penalty Notice issued, 7 Verbal Cautions issued and a further 7 drivers reported through Community Speedwatch Survey conducted by staff from the mobile police station.
* A Highway Safety Group has been set up by Eyke Parish Council to look into longer term solutions that benefit the community.
* Road Safety talks were given to pupils at Eyke Primary School by PCSO's


Task completed 07/12/2009 - Anti-Social Behaviour St Audreys House Melton
Objective
The police and the district council had received reports of anti-social behaviour occuring in the area of  St Audreys House melton.

Update
* Patrols were targeted in the area at poignent times.
*Suffolk Coastal District Council environmental health and planning depts were tasked with looking into issues relating to the property.
*Contact made with Turn Key Lettings to discuss issues relating to the property.

Outcome
*Local residents issued with Suffolk Coastal out of hours contact details regarding noise disturbance.
*Increased partols by police in area.
*Turn Key Lettings advised clients to be considerate to neighbours.
*Planning issues relating to the property being looked into by suffolk Coastal District Council.
*Anti-Social Behaviour reporting forms distributed to neighbouring properties.

Task completed 15/09/2009 - Anti-Social Behaviour Kyson Ward Woodbridge
Objective
The police and the district council had received reports of a petty criminal damage being caused in the area of Pembroke Avenue. Those responsible were believed to be local young people. There had also been reports relating to ongoing neighbourly disputes in the area of Peterhouse Crescent.

 

Update
* Patrols were increased in the above areas and local young people have been engaged.
* A number of young people were identified and took part in various summer activities in order to reduce the chances of them becoming bored.
* Liasion took place between SCDC ASB coordinator and Suffolk Heritage in order to reduce ongoing neighbourly issues.

 

Outcome
* Increase in Hi-Vis foot patrols conducted in area during core times.
* Six young people from the Kyson ward were engaged and enrolled onto Operation Camouflage,. a week long activity based at Rock Barracks during the summer holiday. A further four were taken on a days mountain biking trip to Rendlesham Forest.
* Reports from local businesses and residents have suggested a reduction in ASB and Damage occuring.
* Work has been undertaken in partnership with SCDC, Woodbridge Town Council and Suffolk Heritage Housing Association.

Task completed 15/09/2009 - Theft of marine equipment Orford Quay, Bawdsey Quay and Woodbridge Riverside
Objective
There had been a number of thefts of high value outboard motors from boats in the Bawdsey, Orford and Woodbridge riverside areas. SNT staff were tasked to conduct patrols in riverside and coastal areas and distribute crime prevention materials and advice to boatowners.

Update
* Crime prevention material to be distributed to local marinas, sailing clubs and individual boat owners.
* Patrols have been increased in the above riverside areas.

Outcome
* Increase in foot patrols at vulnerable locations.
* Increased awareness of problem amongst marine enthusiasts following distribution of crime reduction material / advice.

Task Completed 07/05/2009 - Woodbridge Skatepark
Objective
The police and the district council had received reports that a number of cars were parking in the coach / lorry park and their behaviour and actions are causing some concern. Their actions included driving at excess speed both in and out of the coach / lorry park and playing loud music. The key times for this occuring were between 1930-2130hrs most evenings.


 Update

 

* Discussions took place with both residents and business users in the vicinity in an effort to reduce the numbers of cars using this area.

Outcome
* Regular patrols were, and continue to be, conducted and vehicles have been moved on.
* SCDC have now erected large signs that clearly state that cars must not park in the coach / lorry park.

Task Completed 07/05/2009 - Anti Social Behaviour School Lane and The Avenue Ufford 
Objective

Concerns had been raised as to the sudden escalation of Anti Social Behaviour in these areas and the SNT had been asked to engage with these young people, most of whom are believed local. The key times that we had been told were between 1900-2100hrs Friday and Saturday evenings, although there had been occasions when ASB has occurred during other times.

 Update
* Regular patrols were, and continue to be, conducted in the areas concerned, with encounter forms being completed where appropriate.

 

Outcome
* Following a small number of local young people having been dealt with for minor Criminal Damage in the area the number of instances have reduced dramatically.


Task Completed 23/02/2009 - Anti Social Behaviour Sudbourne bus shelter 

Objective
To tackle anti social behaviour and minor criminal damage at the above location


Update
* ASB reporting forms were delivered to all properties nearby encouraging residents to report instances of ASB.
 * Orwell Housing were consulted and kept up to date with progress.

Outcome
* Youth Nuisance letters were sent home to parents of local young people.
