Sudbury and Great Cornard

Welcome to the Sudbury and Great Cornard Safer Neighbourhood Team website.

In Suffolk, Safer Neighbourhood Teams are made up of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Specials and Police Support Volunteers.

We work alongside staff from other organisations, including district and borough councils to provide an even better service to local people across the county.

Our team has a remit to solve problems identified by local people from your area - which could range from crime and anti-social behaviour to noise and litter.

Remember, we are here to help you, so please get in touch with us if you need our assistance.  Our team covers the wards of Sudbury North, Sudbury South, Sudbury East and Great Cornard North and Great Cornard South.

The next Community Priority Setting meeting

We hold regular Community Priority Setting meetings, which are attended by the police, county, district and parish councillors, as well as our partners from health and education organisations.

The aim is to:

  • Discuss issues put forward by the local community
  • Discuss the top three priorities chosen by members of the public and decide how these should be addressed and how we are going to tackle them
  • Arrange feedback to local people about progress

These meetings are open to the public, so if you would like to come along and raise any issues with us please do. The next meeting is to be held at 3pm on Thursday 19th August 2010 at The Stevenson Centre, Stevenson Approach, Great Cornard, CO10 0WD and willl be open to the public until 4pm .

If you can't make the meeting and would like to get in touch about something which concerns you please contact us
