Sibton Parish Council consists of seven councillors.There is
currently a casual vacancy for a councillor.
The council meets at least ten times a year in Peasenhall
& Sibton Methodist Meeting Room unless otherwise notified.
Notice of all meetings are on the notice boards which are situated
in Wood View, Pouy St. and Sibton Green.
Each
meeting is preceded by a public forum in which you can raise issues
and express your views.
The current precept for 2009/10 is £2500. During the last year the
councillors have been working with County Council and neighbouring
Peasenhall Parish Council to deal with speeding problems through
the parish and to improve safety for pedestrians. Some progress has
been made in obtaining additional road signs. The Parish
Council is looking at further village enhancements.
Sibton Parish Council has a 6m x 6m marquee
that is available for community
events.

The Fisherman is a free magazine delivered monthly to every
household. It is anexcellent source of information about what
is going on locally, advertising events and organisations. local
businesses and services. It is published by the Yoxmere
Benefice of churches. The East Anglian Daily Times and
Eastern Daily Press are the local newspapers.
