Somerleyton Community Association Registered charity 1104800

The governing body for the village hall and the playing field.
The Association was created in 2004 by the amalgamation of the Village Hall charity and the Playing Field charity with a principal aim of building a new village hall on the playing field. Whilst progress on this has been slow, mainly due to funding difficulties, it remains the main goal of the trustees.
Running costs of the Association are greater than the hire revenue and additional fundraising is undertaken throughout the year, of which the 200 Club is the main source. There is a draw each month when 50% of the proceeds are awarded in 3 prizes and the other 50% goes to Association funds. There are numbers available for new members, see Lynne in the Post Office.
