The Choir
of St Michael’s Parish Church Framlingham is a thriving mixed choir
of about twenty members. The choir has an extensive
repertoire ranging from the Gregorian chant through to music of the
present day. The choir’s main function is to provide an
Introit and Anthem each Sunday and to lead the congregation in the
musical settings of the Eucharist.
The choir
also sings occasional evensongs, in cathedrals and churches, and
provides music for weddings, funerals and concerts.
We are
particularly proud that, in recent years, three of our choirboys
have won scholarships to Westminster Abbey, two to St John’s
College Cambridge and one to Lincoln Cathedral.
We
welcome enquiries from people of all ages and
abilities.
