The full Stanton footpath guide is available from the Post Office and the Tourist Information Centre in Bury St Edmunds.

Leisure facilities include a large (14 acre) recreation ground mainly used for football, a multi-sport play area, tennis court, concrete skate park, 'pocket park' and a large children’s play area. The Village Hall and Scout HQ are also situated on the recreation ground as are the public toilets and the recycling centre where glass, textiles and newspaper can be placed in the large bins provided.

Steamer Engine The Stanton Steamer is the village monthly magazine, distributed free to over 1,100 homes in the parish. Incorporated in the magazine is the 'What’s On' in Stanton page, a diary for regular and other events in the coming month. The Stanton Steamer Group produces the magazine. The name for the village magazine was chosen because of the activities of the former village agricultural engineers and contractors who used and overhauled steam traction engines amongst many other things.
