Aims and Objectives
- To promote and encourage awareness in Stowmarket’s local,
social and industrial history.
- To preserve and record items of interest connected to first
objective.
- To locate and record old or interesting buildings.
- To record and transcribe old documents.
- To talk to people and record their memories.
- To help in sharing information, photographs, documents and
ephemera to enable further research.
- To help to provide facilities for personal local research.
- To provide a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere to enable all
of the above to be possible.
Membership of the group is open to anyone showing a genuine
interest in supporting the groups objectives.
