The Village Hall is situated in Church Road, Stowupland, on the
A1120, readily accessible from the A14 between Ipswich and Bury St.
Edmunds.
There is ample carparking to the front, sides and rear of the Hall.
Access is through double doors at the front and at the side.
The main hall has a wood
parquet floor and measures 56' x 30', with a stage
approx. 17' 6" x 8' 6", with a flight of 4 steps to each side,
at the back of the stage. Sliding double doors lead directly
from the main hall, into the extension 21' x 17 ', with
standing room in the bar area approx. 9' x 7' 6" and
a counter between the room and the bar area.
A door leads from the extension into the modern kitchen, which
has a sliding shutter to a hatch opening into the main hall. The
kitchen is equipped with commercial size electric cooker and
fridge, and a warming cupboard. 140 cups, saucers and tea plates
are available, with some miscellaneous crockery, the usual kettles,
jugs and teapots. No cutlery is supplied, as this has a tendency to
"disappear". If required, the Hall can supply 16 Gopak tables
6' x 2' 6", 10 tables 2' 6" square, 200 seats and an assortment of
other tables.
There is gas central heating, the usual toilet facilities and a
toilet for the disabled, which also has a nappy changing unit set
up in it.
