Sudbury and Fredensborg were officially twinned in October
2007.
Twinners visited Fredensborg in
June 2008 to celebrate the signing of the Twinning Charter between
the towns. Photos will be posted soon!
Enthusiastic Fredensborg tennis players competed with Sudbury
Tennis Club, and even had time between matches to celebrate
Thomas Gainsborough's birthday in May.

All Saints Middle School and King Edward VI School already have
exciting exchange programmes with Fredensborg schools. Danish
artists joined a Sudbury Arts Week, ramblers and golfers from both
towns have visited each other. A Danish tennis team played Sudbury
Tennis Club in May 2008.
Fredensborg is famous for the summer
palace of the Danish Royal Family. The beautiful Palace gardens
include Normandsdalen, filled with the newly restored statues of
Norwegian country people. The town has always attracted visitors –
Hans Christian Anderson and Soren Kirkegaard are among the town’s
many admirers. Fredensborg’s convenient location in the heart of
serene countryside, but close to the capital Copenhagen and the
coast, makes it highly sought-after.

Lake Esrum, Denmark’s second largest lake, is nearby. The
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, with its world class Modern Art
collection and the UNECSO World Heritage site Kronborg Castle are
easily reached.
Regular train services connect Fredensborg with all parts of
Denmark.
Fredensborg enjoys excellent relationships with its other twin
towns in Scandinavia and Germany.
