Sudbury and
Höxter have been twinned since
1980.
News Update
Our Höxter friends visited
Sudbury in August 2008 and enjoyed a weekend of activities. They
walked along the coastal paths at Aldeburgh and Snape, and enjoyed
a traditional hog-roast barbecue with their hosts.
Sudbury Twinners look forward to visiting Höxter again at the
end of August 2009.

School visits, work experience placements, orchestral concerts and
sporting events are some of the enriching activities to have taken
place between the two towns. Personal and family friendships have
matured across two and even three generations.

Höxter, in the heart of Weserbergland, is
an important regional centre for business, industry, education and
culture. The elegant timbered town houses, the shopping areas and
open spaces offer excellent opportunities for leisure and
sightseeing.

The Weserbergland area is one of outstanding
natural beauty. The wooded hills and forested parks are easily
accessible and have many first-class cycling and walking
routes.
Höxter has excellent
twinning links with Corbie, France.
