Sudbury and Höxter have been twinned since 1980.

School visits, work experience placements, orchestral concerts and
sporting events are some of the enriching activities to have taken
place between the two towns. Personal and family friendships have
matured across two and even three generations.
Höxter, in the heart
of Weserbergland is an important regional centre for business,
industry, education and culture. The elegant timbered town houses,
the shopping areas and open spaces offer excellent opportunities
for leisure and sightseeing.
The Weserbergland
area is one of outstanding natural beauty. The wooded hills and
forested parks are easily accessible and have many first-class
cycling and walking routes.
Höxter has excellent
twinning links with Corbie, France.
