Our Vision in 2021 is that agencies in Suffolk Coastal work more
effectively together so that everyone in the district has the
opportunity to live a healthier lifestyle and living in a rural
area is not a barrier to achieving that healthy lifestyle.
People take a greater responsibility for their own health, and
effort is focused to improve individual responsibly for health
includes our young people – not just through schools but also
through the network of partnerships and organisations available to
them as well as through parents.
The incidences of poverty have reduced in the area and all of
our residents live in a healthy, inclusive community and have the
opportunity to live in a decent home. Socially inclusive,
sustainable, thriving and supportive communities are recognised as
vital not least in our isolated rural areas.
Long term planning for health is shaped by opportunities and
threats from environmental changes, including climate change and
measures have been taken to address fuel poverty.
Priority Outcomes for the LSP

Chair based
exercises
|
- Agencies work more effectively together to ensure everyone has
a decent home environment to live in which enables them to be as
healthy as possible.
- Living in a rural area presents opportunities, not barriers, to
accessing all services, including health and social care.
- People have the information, and where necessary the support,
to take responsibility for their own health.
- Vulnerable people, including those with mental health problems,
are supported to live in and be part of a healthy, inclusive
community.
A working group has been formed to oversee delivery of an action
plan for 2010/11 to deliver these outcomes.
