Coarse (freshwater) anglers. If you are
aged 12 years and over you legally require an Environment
Agency rod licence these are obtainable on
line from the Environment Agency's website or by calling
the Environment Agency on 0844 800 5386 (calling times
8.30am to 8pm March to September and 8.30am to 6pm October
to February) they can also be
purchased from any Post Office. Concessions are available for
the disabled in receipt of DLA who will have to provide
either their blue badge number or national insurance
number, senior citizens (65 years and over) and children
12 to 16 years. A one day and eight day licence is also
available.

Licence not required for sea fishing.
In hot weather make sure you have enough drink
(nonalcoholic) to last the session, also make sure you protect
yourself from the sun by using a high factor sun cream. In the
colder months always take additional clothing with you to maintain
your body heat.
