This group is the successor to the old National Neighbourhood Watch; it was formed because nationwide regional meetings of the co-ordinators on the ground wanted to have a way to pass their concerns up to the government.The group consists of representatives from the 10 regions and is supported by the Home Office.

They send a delegate to the National Strategy Group for Watch Issues (NSGWI) and it is at this meeting that they meet the delegate from the regional police groups and other interested parties to interact with the government through the Home Office.
