An extract of the Local Land Charges Register can be
obtained electronically by using the Suffolk Searches “Personal
Search” request service. Use this link if you wish to obtain the
Local Land Charges Register electronically

For all other information an appointment is still necessary as
staff are employed on a range of duties at any one time.
Appointments should be made either by telephoning the Local Land
Charges office on 01473 825740 or alternatively email
Land.Charges@Babergh.gov.uk,
at least 24 hours in advance. Copies of Local Land Charges
Registrations can also be obtained in this way.
After making your appointment you should send a site plan either
by fax (08702 206197) or via email
(Land.Charges@Babergh.gov.uk)
of the search site to the Land Charge Office. This will enable us
to locate the records needed before you arrive. We may not have the
information available on your arrival unless a location plan
clearly identifying the property upon which a Search is to be
carried out is received 24 hours in advance.
Please note: Only four searches may be undertaken at any one
visit.
Arrival
If you are picking up a copy of the Land Charge Register please
go to Cashiers. If however you have made an appointment to view
other information, then please proceed to Planning Reception.
There is a right for members of the public to view the
information. There is no general right to take copies in any way
(including images via camera, mobile 'phone or scanner). You are
likely to be in breach of copyright under The Copyright, Designs
and Patents Act 1988.
