The teams are here to support you...
Suffolk Witness Care is an essential team of people that
provide advice and support to victims and witnesses of crime.
In Suffolk there
are two Witness Care Units that provide support and advice to
victims and witnesses of not guilty plea cases going to trial in
either a Magistrates' Court or the Crown Court and three Witness
Support teams that help victims and witnesses involved in guilty
plea cases across Suffolk. The witness care team is made up of Witness Care Officers
that work for the Police. Their job is to support victims and
witnesses of crime providing a single point of contact, needs
assessment, information and support.
The Witness Care
Officer will keep you informed on the progress of your case and
support you through the court process if you are required to give
evidence at court.
Suffolk Victim Support
Suffolk Victim Support offers
advice, guidance and support to witnesses throughout the
investigation and court process, even post court contact being
maintained.
