There are 2 Witness Care
Units that provide support and advice to victims and
witnesses of not guilty plea
cases going to trial in
either a Magistrates' Court or the Crown Court and 3
Witness Support teams that help victims and witnesses
involved in guilty plea cases
across Suffolk.
A person at a Witness Care Unit or Witness Support will remain your
single point of contact, whether you are a victim
of or witness to a crime. They are staffed by Police and the Crown
Prosecution Service (CPS) and provide a consistent and accessible
service for dealing with individual needs, support and
advice.
