This Project was set up in 1996
with the support of Ipswich and Suffolk Council for Racial
Equality, Ipswich Borough Council, Suffolk County Council and
funding from the government’s Single Regeneration Budget.
We have trained and experienced interpreters and
translators who can provide their services for private, public and
voluntary sector clients. All translators and interpreters abide by
TIP’s code of conduct. We can ensure that they are impartial and
confidential with any information they obtain in any
assignment.
TIP Mission Statement
We will do this by:
-
Training interpreters and translators to a
professional standard in languages identified through
client demand;
-
Promoting and encouraging the use of such
professionally trained interpreters and translators
by service providers;
- Encouraging those people for whom English is not their
main language of communication to request the provision
of interpreting and translation by service
providers.
