Communities making a difference'
Over 40 people turned out on
12 November to hear a range of environmental expers speak on
climate change. it was a fascinating insight into the world
of renewable energy, community schemes and how we can all help in
the fight against global warming. We also had a really good
response to setting up the Ufford Environmental Forum and a meeting
of those who expressed an interest will be held on 14 January
2010. The Forum will look at ways that Ufford can be involved
in not only global issues but also those closer to home such as
allotments, a community orchard, affordable renewable energy
sources and further recycling opportunities. This list is not
exclusive and will no doubt expand as time goes on.
