The Community Chest Fund has helped 19 local community projects
benefit from over £20,000 of grant aid delivered by the West
Suffolk Local Strategic Partnership.
The Community Chest Fund was launched in June 2008. Bids
had to be £15000 or less and needed to match the main aims of the
West Suffolk LSP: opportunities for children and young people; safe
and sustainable communities; healthier communities and a prosperous
economy.
Successful projects were as follows:

- Suffolk Befriending Scheme sport coaching
- Glemsford Parent and Toddler Group "Start to play" packs

- Red Lodge Great Crusade War-Game Society setting up the
group
- Kernos Centre painting exterior of own builing
- 2nd Mildenhall Guides interactive cultural celebrations
