Flood Defence
If you would like to receive free flood warnings you can
subscribe to the Environment Agency Flood website.

The policy from SCDC at the moment is that all property
holders liable to flooding should take their own precautions
by keeping a stockpile of sand bags or by installing their own
flood boards. They can be contacted for details of sandbag
suppliers. They will not provide sandbags as a matter of priority,
although some may be available if they are not required elsewhere.
(This latter situation is quite
unlikely!)
